REVIEW: Chime by Ring

Ding-Dong, that’s my Chime…Can you hear me now?!

Yes, the people at Ring have made my life easier for a second time. The first was with their Ring Video Doorbell. Here’s the long overdue review of Ring:

This great doorbell can replace your old doorbell or mount it anywhere as it can run on rechargeable batteries, as well being hard wired.  I love having this mounted at my door.  I can know when someone is at the door and rings my bell, regardless if I am home or not as it “rings” my phone app and I can open up the video screen to see who is there (in light or darkness) and chose if I want to talk to them through the speaker/microphone that is built-in.

I can also use the motion sensor, choose what fields of view I want covered, and then the range I want motion picked up on to capture anyone or thing. The video gets recorded to the cloud so I can play back or download.  Soon there will also be instant video on demand where I can activate the camera from my phone/tablet.

Today just got better as I installed my Chime (https://ring.com/chime)

Ring just came out with a plug-in electronic door chime.  You can install it anywhere on your property and as many as you want.  What makes it great is that I don’t need to worry about having my phone or tablet near me to hear the app “ring” me when someone is at the door. Now the Chime can blast away, especially since you can control the volume of the speaker as well.

Looking forward to seeing how else you expand the Ring Doorbell! (https://ring.com)
