JBL Quantum 800 Headset

Most people these days have some type of headset/headphones they use whether for music, talking, exercising, video conferencing or gaming. Lots of phones these days come with headphones as well but as we know, not everything is created equally and especially when you are talking about speakers and technology.

So when I tried JBL’s Quantum 800 headphones, I was blown away. It gave me everything I needed all in one. My music sounds amazing, my video conferences are crystal clear and I can be heard perfectly and when it comes to gaming, these headphones have some insane technology.

First and foremost, these are gaming headphones but they can be used for so much more, so let me talk about why these headphones are so amazing:

Dual wireless-equipped: JBL Quantum 800 headsets are gaming-grade, lossless 2.4GHz, AND Bluetooth 5.0 dual wireless audio equipped, complete with up to 14-hour battery life. This gives you two ways you can connect to your device wirelessly. You also have an included cable to plug directly in, if needed.

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC): The noise cancelling on these headphones are incredible. They truly tune out background noise, whether you are deep in concentration playing a game or talking with someone via voice or video.

Microphone: The voice focused microphone with noise suppression does a great job and it’s flexible so you can adjust it to your comfort. You can easily flip it up or down to move out of the way. (Flipping it up, automatically mutes sound as well)

Controls: On the headphones, you have multiple controls available. There is headphone volume, game audio chat, ambient aware (allows you to hear your surroundings around you) and a mute button (which you can do by raising the mic as well)

You can create multiple profiles that allow you to personalize and save selections such as surround sound settings, 10 band EQ, RGB effects that can be solid or change colors, modify microphone settings, check for software updates and much more.

Compatibility: The headset is compatible via 2.4GHz wireless connection on a PC, PS4, Mac and VR. You can also use the 3.5mm audio jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR as well. AND.. you can connect via a Bluetooth 5.0 to any Bluetooth enabled device. The headset also charges by an included USB-C power cord.

After using these headphones for some time now, I am truly blown away with how JBL’s Quantum 800 are designed and how they sound and work. Hearing the 7 channel surround sound while playing a game with the impressive bass, makes an AMAZING experience and when I am on calls, the sound quality is crystal clear and spot on. Even with all the daily use, the battery holds up pretty well.

They cost $200, so they are costly but when you think about the noise cancelling capabilities and sound quality especially for gaming, they cost less than other high-end headphones that offer fewer features. I can truly say they are a must have for that gamer who wants to feel like they are in the game!
