You probably have heard of or use one of the following cloud programs; Dropbox, Google Drive, Apple iCloud, Box or several other ones. They all offer a basic free plan that gives you several GB’s of space for free and then you can pay for more. Yes, I have used some of the ones mentioned and they do a great job and easy to use but I came across an even better solution that I personally feel has several advantages over any of the web-based cloud sites.

For those who aren’t familiar with SanDisk, they are one of the global leaders when it comes to flash memory storage solutions for data centers, smartphones, tablets and computers.

The product I got to test out is their Connect Wireless Stick. It’s a flash drive that also can double as your personal cloud storage!

It can work with your mobile devices and your computer. Regardless of where you have the Connect (in a pocket, a bag or sitting on the table from across the room), you can wirelessly access all your media files and various other data from it!

You can even upload, download, save, share and play all your files from a distance, to and from the device you want all through the SanDisk Connect Drive app.

How to set-up and use the Connect:

1. Place your Connect Wireless Stick in a USB slot to give it a full charge

2. Download the SanDisk Connect Drive app

3. Once fully charged, push the power button on the side Connect Wireless Stick, then go to your WiFi settings on your phone, tablet or computer and then find  and select the SanDisk Connect network.

4. Then you go to the app and it opens up and you will find a list of pre-loaded folders and any other content you could have added. You can now also set it up to automatically copy photos and videos from your camera roll to the drive when it’s connected.
