REVIEW: NuBryte Touchpoint

The people at LUCIS Technologies came out with NuBryte, an all-in-on touchpoint control that you mount on your wall (and can also be controlled via an iOS or Android app)

 

 

 

 

You replace your single or double light switch with their NuBryte Touchpoint (single or double gang box/switch). The directions are easy enough that you don’t need to hire an electrician.

 

The Touchpoint comes with all these features:

Lets talk about the various functions the NuBryte has to offer:

 

 

1. Lighting: depending on the model, you can either control 1 or 2 light switches from the panel/app. (even more if there are multiple NuBryte’s installed) You can turn the light(s) on/off, dim them, set up a schedule so they can turn on/off at programmed times. Even some great features such turning on when motion is detected, setting your “morning light” so it gradually turns on at a set time, “bedtime light” so it slowly fades out, “night light” so it gives off a gentle glow and many other lighting options.
2. Security: You set you exit/countdown time and leave. It’s that simple. The motion sensing and camera will catch anyone after that and alert you with a notification to your smartphone via the app as well as a siren built into the unit plus flashing all the lights connected to NuBryte. To give you even extra sense of security, the touchpoint can send you alerts straight to your smartphone with live video feeds that the panel picks up.
3. Weather: When setting up the NuBryte, you enter in your zip code. By doing do, you have multiple weather screens available. Indoor temperature with indoor humidity and outdoor temperature, hourly forecast and then a multi-week forecast.
4. Events: Enter events onto the calendar via the app and the events alert will show on the screen when it happens.
5. Energy: You can get a daily and monthly report based on how much energy consumption you are using
6. Intercom: If you have multiple NuBryte touchpoints hooked up at home, they can turn into intercom units between them as well.
